About Teeter's Telescopes

Teeter's Telescopes was born out of the desire to provide fellow amateur astronomers with quality products. We use only what we deem to be the highest quality materials in the construction of all of our products. We have been in the Telescope Making arena for the last five years and in that time we have seen our products showcased at the Stellafane Telescope Making Convention, Vermont (award pictured at right), for innovativeness and craftsmanship. We have also been recognized by local astronomy clubs such as ASTRA (Astronomical Society of the Toms River Area) and STAR (Society of Telescopy, Astronomy and Radio). It is this craftsmanship and radical thinking that we wish to pass onto the customer.

In those five years we have constructed three 8" f/6 Dobsonians, one 12.5" f/5.5 Truss-Dobsonian, a 13.1" f/4.5 Split-Truss-Dobsonian and a 3" f/5.6 rich-field refractor. We also do restorations of classic telescopes, which have included the collectible 6" f/8 Criterion Dynascope and a 1950's vintage 3" f/16 ASTRO refractor.

In addition to the products shown on our Catalog Page, we also do custom work. If we can do it out of wood or aluminum, then we can provide what you are looking for. Email us for a quote.
